This is roughly the literal translation for financial statements. However, I wonder if they are not actually talking about the Goodwill arising on acquisition of this shareholding (this would usually be a debit or negative figure) - being the difference between the net equity (or net worth) of the company purchased and the actual amount paid for the acquisition.

I will dig out some actual examples of similar wording if I can and send these to you.
