Portuguese term

geração de caixa

Portuguese to English Bus/Financial Economics
Hello, this is a specific term that I don't really know the translation into English. Could it be "cash generation"? Sounds a bit funny to me. If you can, please, send me some ideas. Here's the sentence in Portuguese:
"Geração de caixa é a diferença entre todo o dinheiro que entra e que sai da empresa em determinado período."
