I was wondering if anyone can shed light on the precise translation of 'por memoria' in the phrase below? It is part of a CV. Does it refer to a dissertation? - as this is in the academic qualification section or does it have a much more mundane meaning?
especialista en.....por memoria aprobada por Ministerio de Educación
many thanks in advance for any help.

Debe ser by o through en inglés, quizás with
Aunque habría que ver la frase íntegra para decirlo sin dudas

I'm suggesting this as the translation of "por memoria aprobada por", so the whole fragment would be something like this:
"...specialist in..... , accredited by the Ministry of Education"
especialista en.....por memoria aprobada por Ministerio de Educación

Come to think of it, you could probably even just leave it as "approved by…", Without mentioning the "memoria" part.

Example sentence:
The degrees are recognised and accredited by by the Ministry of Culture and Education ...
Note from asker:
Thanks for your feedback and help. I thought about that option and almost went with it but felt that it was referring to a dissertation/piece of work/a project or proposal that was endorsed by the Ministry of Education so kept the noun in the sentence. I really appreciate your help though. |

: I would tend to agree with this, since the approval is by the Ministry of Education, and not by the school or university where the studies were carried out.
