Hi. I am translating an "auto y escrito de querella" from Spanish into British English and I don't know the proper translation for "parte de incoación". This is the context:
"Incóese diligencias previas, dándose el correspondiente parte de incoación al Ministerio Fiscal; únase a autos la copia de la escritura de poder aportada así como los demás documentos."

It's my understanding that "dándose parte" comes from "dar parte", i.e., to inform or notify. So, here it appears you have an order to begin preliminary proceedings or put together a case (or something along those lines) and as a result of that, the Public Prosecutor's Office is to be notified.
