Spanish term

ventana de esperanza

Spanish to English Art/Literary Poetry & Literature
This expression had turned up a couple of times in the book I am translating. I don't think there is a set English expression that means the same, but can anyone help me find something similar? Thanks!

In context:
- "lo considero un regalo para ti, lector, para que sea una ventana de esperanza en tu caminar"
- "siento que hay ventanas de esperanza para el cambio"
- "Estas historias, por muy pequeñas que sean, son verdaderas ventanas de esperanza cuando parece que nada
está ocurriendo"

My suggestion would be 'ray of hope' but I would love to hear other ideas!

window of hope

A literal translation works fine. "Ray" is another option, to avoid repetition.

I am not sure if you are swaying away from an obvious/literal translation? I've heard the expression "window of hope", although this may be uncommon to your target audience, and of course, this decision is entirely yours.

Nevertheless, I leave you with some links to support "window of hope" or "true window of hope":

Example: It opens a window of hope for an easing of tension between Iran and the west on the strained nuclear file but also on the more urgent issue – the self-destructive clash between Shia and Sunni Islam that is killing thousands in Syria and Iraq and threatens the entire Middle East region.
