Spanish term

erosionadores

Spanish to English Social Sciences Psychology Interpersonal communication
In a section about building trust within a larger text on interpersonal communication. We even get a definition:
"erosionadores, es decir, comportamientos que pueden dañar [la autoestima] a la otra persona"

Of course, I can get round the problem with an explanation, but does anyone know if there is a specific equivalent to the term as used in this context?

Discussion

No it doesn´t. Yes, I say in the original post, I can get round it, but was wondering if anyone was aware of a specific term used in the context, thanks for your input
philgoddard Aug 19, 2020:
Thanks And does the term come up more than one once in the text? If not, you could leave it out and just say "eliminate behavior that..."
eliotj (asker) Aug 19, 2020:
Context "¿Cómo generamos confianza en las relaciones?:
Se genera confianza.... cuando eliminamos erosionadores, es decir, comportamientos que pueden dañar a la otra persona y cuando potenciamos la autoestima de las personas. "
It's a noun
philgoddard Aug 19, 2020:
Could we have the context, please - I'm not even clear whether this is a noun or an adjective.

Thank you, Marie!
agree Toni Castano : I´m not sure about "social", but undermining (patterns/factors) is what I would use here.

Thank you, Toni. The answer you like was my first thought, until I actually found the technical definition. I agree that "social" may not be necessary here.

Belittling (behaviour)

On a hunch I checked this verb and it IS used to denote this sort of harmfully denigrating behaviour:
