Swedish term

basindustrin

Swedish to English Bus/Financial Manufacturing
basindustrin is generally referred to as "basic industries," however I am wondering if there isn't a more professional way of saying this.

In other words... the particular context must determine your choice of term.

basic/base I wondered about "primary industry", which would seem more correct from an English language point of view, but "basic industry" seems to include things like steel and chemical production resulting from the raw materials produced by primary industry, so I think you are stuck with basic or base industry.
