sleeping if working non-stop to help a client with a very tight deadline

sport activity to reoxygenate my tired neurons to perk up my mental performance

and once a big project is finished, and I've seen the cash - a bit of shopping for something I've been longing for months

What is it with all the ado about keeping up your "acuity"? Is anyone afraid of losing precious IQ-points by not doing anything for a couple of hours? Do we have to drop down instantly and take a power-nap to be prepared and ready for the next rush job?

Edited for typo

Sleeping / Social or family interaction / Maybe even doing the housework Sep 22, 2011

And the order really depends on how exhausted I feel.

No one particular favorite. Depends. Sep 22, 2011

And then, for the occasions when only a mini-break is possible, there's always: http://www.flashbynight.com/drench/ (Warning: May be habit-forming for some people.)

Do you fancy popping over to Athens occasionally for some 'soothing' or 'stimulating' activities? I'll just relax with a glass of ouzo while watching you wash the dishes

Not in any particular order... Sep 22, 2011

The best one for me is a short nap. It's sort of like rebooting my brain.

Others include tea, exercise, cooking (more of an obligation, but does the trick anyway), and TV helps sometimes.

It depends on how tired I am Sep 22, 2011

A good book... a long walk... but when I finish a very long and complex project the thing I usually do is taking a long relaxing bath with a glass of a wonderful Chardonnay:)

depends on time of day! Sep 22, 2011

if it's late at night, watch tv and relax.
During the day, i'll head to the gym or a bike ride/run and get out!

Or i'll go shopping- grocery shopping or do errands, or if I have some cash, shopping for things like shoes, etc, fun stuff that I need!
