In Egypt and possibly other Arabic countries, the term بوش refers to the free play in some mechanical parts. I believe the word has some French origin, but I cannot tell what that French word is.
An example is a worn out steering wheel mechanism that rotates for a few angles without an effect. Free play can be by design or it can result from wear and tear.
You may check the mechanical design of the weapon in question and see if this applies or not.
