counterfeit patented leather bag sold in a supermarket
the "constat d'achat" was the result of a bailiff's visit to the supermarket where he found the disputed bag on sale. Could I use "proof of purchase"? The designers are taking action against the supermarket for selling a counterfeit.

the "constat" is an legal document so this has to be made very clear in the translation.

I would go with the guy instinct of the bailiff having made the purchase-proof that the article was on sale, available for purchase.

"after commissioning a purchase report by a judicial officer..."
the purchase is done by the "huissier judiciaire" which in is case is acting as "official witness", something that bailiffs don't do in UK, so calling the "huissier judiciaire" a "bailiff" would be pretty confusing.
"Judicial officer" is still correct, and puts the emphasis on the fact that it's someone considered as reliable witness that's reporting the event.
In UK bailiffs are in the business of enforcing court orders, mainly collecting debts.

From ONLY the quoted source text, I don't understand this as an "huissier" making the purchase.
It's more likely to have been done by a "mistery shopper", some credible witness being present and afterwards giving a statement /affidavit. (the "constat d'achat")
"fait assigner selon acte d'huissier ..." is not involving a specific "huissier" it's just a phrase to say a court action was started - the sellers of counterfeited goods are being sued.
