Overnight Rollover Percentage Calculation Formulas
1. Rollover Percent Calculation for XXXUSD: (GBPUSD, EURUSD, etc.)
Example 1a:
Buy rollover at 2.5% for opening 1 lot EUR Buy at 1.5986
Example 1b:
Sell rollover at -3.5% for opening 1 lot GBP Sell at 1.9952
Note: Weekend Interest: If the rule Overnight Rollover: weekend overnight rollover = Saturday/Sunday, then daily interest will be charged on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the end of the trading day. If the rule Overnight Rollover: weekend overnight rollover = Wednesday, then 3 day interest will be charged on Wednesday at the end of the trading day.
2. Rollover Percent Calculation for USDXXX: (USDJPY, USDCHF, etc.)
Example 2a:
Buy rollover at 0.5% for opening 1 lot USDJPY Buy at 102.95
Example 2b:
Sell rollover at -9.5% for opening 1 lot USDJPY Sell at 102.50
Note: Weekend Interest: If the rule Overnight Rollover: weekend overnight rollover = Saturday/Sunday, then daily interest will be charged on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the end of the trading day. If the rule Overnight Rollover: weekend overnight rollover = Wednesday, then 3 day interest will be charged on Wednesday at the end of the trading day.
3. Rollover Percent Calculation for crosses (CUR1CUR2)
Converted into US dollars by the Bid rate USDCUR1 or CUR1USD at the time of rollover (for systems where USD is the base currency; for JPY systems, convert into JPY, etc.)
Example 3:
Buy rollover at 0.5% for opening 1 lot (CHF100,000) CHFJPY Buy
USDCHF at the time of rollover: BID 1.2025
Conversion into US dollars:
