paq/a would be pack/years (PA); it's just this DA acronym that I can't find (it's not in Cosnautas, as far as I can see). What does DA stand for?

El consumo tabáquico acumulado (donde DA aludiría efectivamente a dosis acumulada, aunque no es la única denominación; índice tabáquico, índice años-paquete, etc.) es un índice que puede leerse como equivalente a "años durante los que el sujeto ha fumado un paquete diario". Así, un sujeto que haya fumado dos paquetes diarios durante diez años tendrá un índice correspondiente ("DA") de 20 pack-years (equivalente al de un sujeto que haya fumado un paquete diario durante veinte años). Su cálculo se realiza multiplicando el número de años que el sujeto ha fumado por el número medio de paquetes/día que ha fumado durante dicho período.
En tanto que índice, no existe una forma unívoca de describirlo.
