Note from asker:
Could it be Fund Balance? Cause I translated resultados acumulados as accumulated funds. I really appreciate your help. |

Spanish term (edited):
capital social (de una asociación civil)
endowment fund (of a charitable /non-profit organisation)
de una asociación civil : charitable /non-profit organisation, West. (Equity) share capital is the auto-pilot translation for a limited company or (US) corporation but, here, we have a different type of organisation.
So, scouring the previous 150-odd ProZ glossary translations and IATE, I look in vain for an endowment, but stand corrected by beady-eyed experts.
Moral of the story: work backwards or 'inductively' from the charity, rather than deductively from the ST / source text of capital social.
Patrimonio: equity

Example sentence:
An endowment is a nonprofit's investable assets, which are used for operations or programs that are consistent with the wishes of the donor(s).
An endowment fund is a financial asset, typically held by a non-profit organization, which contains the capital investments and related earnings ...

Owner’s equity
If say patrimonio is assets, capital social may be owner’s equity on a balance sheet which is defined in accounting as the amount remaining after the value of all liabilities is subtracted from the value of all assets.

: It's a charitable association so it doesn't have owners // Yes it is as standard entry but I don't think you will find it in the accounts of a non-profit non-shareholder entity

While it is true that it is a non-profit organization, the concept of owner’s equity is a standard entry on balance sheets and the concept should be understood by anyone knowledgeable about financial statements regardless.

The (association) members' contributions
La notion de capital social dans les associations n'existe pas mais elle peut, pour financer ses investissements et son besoin en fonds de roulement, recevoir de la part de ses membres des apports en numéraire, en nature ou encore en industrie.

: and what if the founding fund was a legacy or state aid? or a donation by a stranger?// please see askers's text: "como entidad perceptora de donaciones"; doesn't that effectively mean it's a charity?

An association isn't a foundation. PLS read the 1901 French law on associations

social capital
"Social capital allows a group of people to work together effectively to achieve a common purpose or goal. It allows a society or organization, such as a corporation or a not-for-profit to function together as whole through trust and shared identity, norms, values and mutual relationships. Put simply, social capital benefits society as a whole through social relationships. As such, the study of how social capital works, or fails to work, pervades the social sciences."
