It's really hard to guess what your text looks like with so little context. Why not provide us with a piece of the surrounding text and the actual sentence the term is from? This applies to <s>all</s> some your questions.

agree katerina turevich : 'dumping dredge (spoil)' was the term used in the dredging software I translated a number of years ago. 'Disposal" was also used quite often, but it referred more to the action initiation, rather than descriptive.
