: It doesn't say clean. "Controlled atmosphere" could also relate to things like temperature, humidity, pressure, or atmospheric gases.

Cleanroom is the term used for such facilities. It doesn’t only refer to cleanliness but also to the parameters you mention (see discussion entry for reference)

Just decide how you want to translate it - Marco's suggestion seems the obvious choice. Use an abbreviation only if space is limited or the term is repeated many times. And explain the abbreviation the first time you use it, as otherwise readers won't understand it.
