Japanese term

売買越管理

Japanese to English Bus/Financial Accounting
This term appears in an audit report of a company. The section this term appears is talking about how the company need to tighten its inventory control. Normally, the word 売越 or 買越 is used concerning stocks, but in this case it seems to be talking about products. If anyone knows how to translate this term, I would appreciate your help very much. Thanks!

Excuse me Hana, our neighbor rang our doorbell to give us some egg fruit from her garden. :-)

To continue, sometimes "overselling" can be as problematic as "underselling" because it can put a burden on the company with 1) trying to rush production or 2) deliveries can be so late that even cancellations can arise. And, there are many other problems related with overselling, so "overselling" is a concern that needs to be managed, controlled or supervised.

"Overbuying" is another problem that needs to be managed. Overbuying of parts (excess of parts in inventory) can become dead stock, etc and it ties up the company's money unnecessarily.

The ideal is to control buying and selling in order to avoid the problems of "overselling/overbuying.

Thank you, Hana! I'm glad I could help.

Well, an "egg fruit" looks a bit like a mango but is a much darker yellow and is shaped like a big, fat "comma" because it has a long, curved pointed tip.

The inside is looks like a boiled egg yolk. That's why they have the name "egg fruit."

They're slightly soft inside, have a big dark pit (which you take out), and you can scoop the fruit out a spoon.

When you put egg fruit in your mouth, it's like eating a cake....Like “文明堂のカステラ” but denser. And, best of all, it’s natural!

They're really special and yummy. :-)

Oops, I made some mistakes. :-P
"The inside looks like a boiled egg yolk."
and
"...you can scoop the fruit out with a spoon."

Overbooking management

In the airline and hotel industry we often overbook in our reservation systems...well in advance..and as the actual date comes closer tour companies and agencies cancel bookings 3 months and 2 months..out..then at the 30 day out deadline arrives..they have to pay for what reservations they hold after that date...
This is the sense that I have for the meaning of this ..and its pretty important piece of juggling which these reservation managers play..
I hope this can be of some help.
Note from asker:
Thanks for your suggestion, Craig. As I was doing research I found the term used concerning flight booking, so it must be a common term in the airline industry too. However the document I am currently dealing with is not related to airline nor hotel, so I am afraid the term "overbooking" might not apply this time... thanks for the info though, it will probably help me in the future, you never know :)
