Misha, you did not understand me. Perhaps, I just failed to explain my idea well...
The Misha Jun 15, 2014:
Natalia, you seem to be missing Mark's point. It doesn't matter that the Russian original says stremitelno which you perceive to be faster than mere "rapidly". What matters is that the most natural thing to say under the circumstances would be just what Mark suggested, rapidly changing world. Sure, you can say whatever you want, take you pick from here:

http://thesaurus.com/browse/rapidly

but if you want a natural option your choices may be severely limited, here as elsewhere. English, just like any other language, has its own cliches, and for the most part they do not match their Russian equivalents word for word.

I have to disagree, this English phrasing is the closest equivalent to the Russian. 'Standard' doesn't mean boring. It is a fairly common turn of phrase, and any other adjective will look weird in its place.
Note from asker:
I was considering rapidly first, but then I thought that rapidly is "быстро"
Could it be done without using standard phrasing? "Стремительно" is smth more emphatic , that "быстро". The corresponding Russian standard phrase is "быстро меняющийся мир", а не "стремительно". Could there be any other version of saying it more expressively? There must be other versions, I suppose.
Sorry, I was after some kind of synonym of this phrase. Another version of rendering the same idea in English.

agree Rachel Douglas : You're better off w "rapidly" because options like "breakneck", "headlong", "hurtling" don't easily become adverbs, while adjectival phrases will be long and cumbersome - the opposite of what you want. And "rapidly" beats "swiftly", "quickly", in my book.
