English to Korean: Long periods of sitting General field: Medical
Source text - English Experts warn that long periods of sitting can increase the risk of heart disease and obesity. Adjustable desks that let you stand or sit while working are among the approaches being tried to reduce time spent seated on the job.
It is important that workers who sit at a desk all day take an interest in maintaining and improving their well-being both at work and at home.
Translation - Korean 전문가들은 현대인들의 오랜 시간 앉아있는 습관이 심장병과 비만을 초래할 수 있다고 경고한다. 앉아서 일하는 시간을 줄이기 위한 방법 중의 하나로, 앉아서는 물론 서서도 일할 수 있는 겸용책상이 소개되고 있다. 하루 종일 앉아서 근무해야 하는 직장인들이 직장이나 집에서 스스로의 건강을 돌보고자 한다는 것은 중요한 의미를 가진다.

Experience
Years of experience: 9. Registered at ProZ.com: Dec 2015.
I have a variety of experiences and interests as you can see my resume below. In terms of translating experience, although I have B.A. in English translation and interpretation, I have not done much work in this area as I have pursued different majors (philosophy and education) after earning my B.A.
In 2002, I have once translated about 100-page English texts in the field of clothing & textile to Korean for a doctoral student in a graduate school in Korea for her research and dissertation.
My strengths in translation and interpretation are, I think, my linguistic and cultural sensitivity derived from various experiences in different cultures and my knowledge in various fields, two of I have studied in depth through my graduate studies.
Please see my resume below for my experiences and strength.
