These garbage tags come from MS Word .docx format, as I understand it. Use Codezapper or TransTools to clean up the Word file, and then you will probably get matches.
If you are seeing too many tags, it is because of the MS Word .docx or equivalent structure, not OmegaT. To get rid of them, you put the Word file through the apps Codezapper or TransTools
