I'm working on a manuscript, and I've been asked to remove all the hyperlinks. However, when I go to Tools-->AutoCorrect Options-->AutoFormat as you type, the box for autocorrecting links to hypertext is not checked.

I've tried several other things, like pasting non-hypertext formatting over the link. The blue vanishes, but the link is still active.

Does anyone know how to turn this dad-blasted stuff off? I searched Word help, but to no avail...

Thanks,... See more

Very simple Mar 19, 2009

You just have to right-click on the hyperlink and then, on the pop-up menu that appears, select de option to erase the hyperlink.

I have the Spanish version of Office and the name of the option is "Quitar hipervínculo". I do not know what it is called in English, but sure you will see it...

Best

Pere

This is so helpful! I often have cases where I need to get rid of dozens of hyperlinks, and have always deactivated them one by one with the right mouse button. This shortcut will make things so much easier!
