aortic area

Los focos de auscultación se llaman "areas" en inglés:

"Auscultation - the four classic acoustic areas are represented, including:

a. Aortic area (Upper right sternal edge)
b. Pulmonary area (Upper left sternal edge)
c. Tricuspid area (Lower left sternal edge)
d. Mitral area (Apex and displaced left ventricle)
"

Un saludo.

agree Karina Pelech : Not always true, re: the use of 'area' and 'focus', in medical English.. but your suggestion is perfectly valid ... saludos .. :o)

en general sí, pero los focos de auscultación se suelen llamar "areas", muy raramente "focus". Por supuesto que "focus" se utiliza, pero no tanto en este contexto.

Aortic focus / location/ area

You could use area as Lelia says, but in English we often refer to the 'area' as the 'focus' or location - just as here.
The area would be the gross location, and the focus: the specific location - although they are interchangeable

Suerte .. :o)
