Telecom(munications)
Contexto: sistema de reconocimiento por voz
Consider a basic voice-picking application. There is no question that picking accuracy becomes near perfect with voice. Voice systems don’t allow the user to proceed onto their next task without confirming that the current task has been completed satisfactorily, for example. That means it is virtually impossible for an incorrect order to be loaded for distribution to a regional store. However, beyond the immediate results it delivers, near-perfect accuracy reverberates across the warehouse, creating additional opportunities to improve processes and increase productivity.
For example, with errors occurring just 00.01% of the time, routine audits can essentially be eliminated – and these previously unavailable resources ***deployed elsewhere**.

pueden ser reasignados
La frase original se entiende mejor así.
"For example, with errors occurring just 00.01% of the time, routine audits can essentially be eliminated – and these previously unavailable resources CAN BE ***deployed elsewhere**."
Es decir, con un nivel tan ínfimo de errores, se puede prescindir prácticamente de las auditorías, y aquellos recursos anteriormente no disponibles pueden ser reasignados (a otras tareas)

It seems that those people and/or systems who were auditing before can be employed doing useful work somewhere else in the business/system.

So it could also be "empleados en otra parte del negocio", I suppose
