I am looking to name our cafè in italy "ma petit cafè" because of the few letters in petit, it looks well graphically, but was told it was gramatically incorrect....however, i was also told it could be said in slang...what is correct?
I appreciate any help with this.

mon petit café - mon p'tit noir - mon p'tit crème
"noir" is currently used for strong black coffe like espresso.
So it could be "mon petit noir" or "mon p'tit noir"
"crème" is a coffe topped with hot milk froth - you get it in every "bistrot" ==> mon petit crème
Slang for café would be "caoua" but it's quite old fashioned and not widely used.
But never "ma" and "café" beware of the accent on é
