When you relocate, the relocation company sends you a form where you have to write the description of the items to be moved with a corresponding value (you may insure everything or some of the items to be moved, there are different options). You will pay an insurance premium depending on the value declared. THe relocation company presents the form to the insurance company. If something is damaged or lost during the move, you will be able to claim for damages according to the list you provided and the corresponding value you declared on that form.
