Здесь “separation planning” используется в буквальном смысле в привязке именно к продаже бизнеса, и означает буквально именно “операционное планирование разделения/выхода из бизнеса”.
Но, с другой стороны, идёт противопоставление – “вы используете такой же уровень планирования при А, как и при Б?” – при этом А и Б совершенно противоположные вещи.
Соответственно, перевод - “калька” тут не имеет смысла.
Исходный текст предложения (“в голове” того, кто писал) выглядит, имхо, так: “Do you undertake the same level of OPERATIONAL PLANNING when you sell businesses as…”
Поэтому вариант перевода такой:
При осуществлении продажи бизнеса Вы используете такой же уровень ОПЕРАЦИОННОГО ПЛАНИРОВАНИЯ, как и при покупке или интеграции (бизнеса)?

PS Видимо, адресован кому-то из высшего руководства. Говоря простым языком, вопрос звучит так:
Вы также тщательно планируете и прорабатываете сделки по продаже части бизнеса или выхода из бизнеса, как при покупке или объединении бизнеса?
Обычно, когда что-то покупают, очень тщательно всё взвешивают и планируют - особенно финансовые и налоговые последствия, когда же речь идёт о продаже, об этом частенько забывают - продаём - ну и продаём .... ))))
Но, с другой стороны, идёт противопоставление – “вы используете такой же уровень планирования при А, как и при Б?” – при этом А и Б совершенно противоположные вещи.
