According to Konstantinos Kantzou's Λεξικό Λογιστικής με Όρους Χρηματοικονομικής, Φορολογικής και Ελεγκτικής, "διαβεβαιώνω" can also mean "confirm" and "διαβεβαίωση" can also mean "confirmation". All references that I found to Performance Standard 2100 on the internet referred to confirmatory and consultant measures or activities and not to reassuring functions or other word choices. When translating, one should not necessarily use the precise equivalents of all source language words in the target language text, but should convey the intended meaning of the words clearly in the target language. In my opinion, the word “function” was not as suitable as “service” in the particular context.

3. function = λειτουργία
4. Service = υπηρεσία
5. ΔΙΑβεβαίωση= Assurance
6. ΔΙΑβεβαιωτική=Assuring/Reassuring
