Swedish term
verksamhetsnära miljö
Swedish to English
Tech/Engineering
Engineering (general)
We are dealing with the translation of some operating instructions for a waste compactor (avfallspress) for use in environments such as canteens, fast food outlets, etc. and would be interested in people's suggestions for the English translation of the phrase "verksamhetsnära miljö" which appears in the following sentence and is causing us a problem:
Maskinen får endast användas i verksamhetsnära miljö med daglig tillsyn.
Many thanks in advance!

I *think* this is probably just a warning that it has to be used for the appropriate purpose in the appropriate surroundings.

at the place of consumption/consumption area
A different approach. What would we say forgetting the Swedish form of the word but just keeping the concept.
The second reference is particularly interesting
There were other similar possibilities like 'consumption area' which come closer to the Swedish literally
