: the whole stack is 28 mm high? Where is this happening? In a micro version of a doll house? // the only samples I can find are those where "hauteur d'empilement" is the total height of the stack - not good for this ST

caisses en plastique réutilisables => there is often the need to move around piles of EMPTY crates [to reuse them at some other location], thus the height added to the whole pile by each empty/folded crate is important, and smaller is better!
BTW 28 mm is not necessarily the height of the whole crate, even if it's a foldable crate. Most crates are made with slanted walls, and can be nested inside the crate that is underneath.

See how the metal handles fold out (as shown) to allow the crates to be stacked inside each other when empty, but can be hinged into the inside of the crate like this:

I suspect 'hauteur d'empilage / gerbage' is the first meaning above: 'how high you can stack them'
