Spanish term

deferencia practicada

Spanish to English Social Sciences Philosophy
This appears to be a term from Adorno, specificically from Minima Moralia (this is a text about an Argentine painter):

La calidez se apodera de todo lo que ella hace, de su palabra amistosa, de su palabra no dicha, de su “deferencia practicada”.

The footnote clarified the source of the phrase between quotation marks.

It's common to say that one 'practices deference' and therefore no big leap to turn the verb into an adjective.
