English term

dark money

English to Portuguese Bus/Financial Finance (general) election
Both countries grapple with representing a vast population with competing priorities, and both are plagued by many of the same invisible hands that shape elections behind the curtain—dark money, corporate interests, and intentionally fake or misleading news, to name a few.

What is 'Dark Money'

Dark money refers to the funds donated to nonprofit organizations that in turn spend it in order to influence elections. These nonprofit organizations can receive an unlimited amount of donations, and they're not required to disclose their donors. The opacity of this donation process often allows these companies to significantly influence the election process.

Obrigada, Hauke!
agree Vivian Federicci : Also agree based on this: The term was first used by the Sunlight Foundation to describe undisclosed funds that were used during the United States 2010 mid-term election.

dinheiro desvirtuado

"In the politics of the United States, dark money is funds given to nonprofit organizations—and include 501(c)(4) (social welfare) 501(c)(5) (unions) and 501(c)(6) (trade association) groups—that can receive unlimited donations from corporations, individuals and unions. They can spend funds to influence elections, but are not required to disclose their donors." - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_money

- https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caixa_dois
