Spanish term

Por título de adjudicación

Spanish to English Law/Patents Real Estate Title Deed
As used below:

75% (75/100) del pleno dominio "por título de adjudicación" en liquidación de la sociedad de gananciales con carácter privativo.

And how does this differ from 'por título de donación', which also appears in the text?

agree philgoddard : I don't think you can go wrong with a literal translation here. I'm not sure about "community property company", but that's not part of the question.

Thanks.//It may not be part of the question, but if you read the rest of the description (which is what I expanded on), it says: "... sociedad de gananciales con carácter privativo".

Thank you.
disagree Adrian MM. : Despite the agrees, sociedad de gananciales is a scheme of joint ownership of after-acquired property (acquired after the marriage) and nowt to do with a property compayn that is liquidated, rather the joint title is wound up ('joint tenancy' is severed).

By way of award (by order of the court vs. assenting of an inheritance)

en liquidación de la sociedad de gananciales ....con carácter privativo: on a divorce settlement by equitable distribution of community property or joint ownership of property by husband & wife (West) ...

on severance of the joint tenancy (title) of shared, after-acquired matrimonial property /acquired after the marriage and not post-bankruptcy; cf. pacto de ganancialidad: Bosch, Dicc. de derecho esp./ (AMM)

each for private / exclusive use....

adjudicación de una herencia a assenting of an inheritance to (vesting in) the heirs / beneficiaries rather than 'allocation to' (ProZ entries) or allotment.

vs. por título de donación: entre consortes or de padres a hijos (West) wedding gifts immediately prior to the union or during the marriage, either to fall into the sociedad de gananciales or privately to a spouse (con carácter privativo?) : often a cue for a blazing row in most un/civilised countries .....

neutral philgoddard : Your answer looks kind of convincing, but I don't understand your explanation. One of the main problems for me is the very unconventional syntax and punctuation.

It's IMO severing title, so splitting joint ownership / tenancy of property into a separate one ('tenancy-in-common'). The sociedad is a pool of marital assets & liabilities, so neither a partnership, nor a corp.// your agree with TD is imisguided.
