On parle de "global illumination" en IRM/TDM
Rays of light in the real world come from different directions, they are attenuated, they reflect, they refract.
The computer algorithm can simulate this complexity.
The simplest example considering a single ray of light is called “ray casting”.
When multiple branching (secondary, tertiary) rays are processed taking into account their complex interactions with the voxels according to the parameters of the applied algorithms, the technique is called “path tracing”.

Path tracing is a type of ray tracing. When using path tracing for rendering, the rays only produce a single ray per bounce. The rays do not follow a set line per bounce, but rather shoot off in a random direction. The path tracing algorithm then takes a random sampling of all of the rays to create the final image. This results in sampling a variety of different types of lighting.

Tu m'as permis de découvrir ça: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ray_tracing
Je pense qua ça devrait coller.
Tu peux le mettre en réponse ?
Merci encore
