@philgoddard They seem to you to be synonymous, but they are distinct procedural acts.

1. Apensar - When ancillary proceedings, e.g. interlocutory injunction proceedings commenced subject to an order or undertaking to commence the main action, are attached to the main action.
2. Entranhamento - Filing of a document in existing proceedings pursuant to a court order.
3. Unificar - Consolidation of two or more actions regarding the same matter and between the same parties.

You've managed to find three synonyms, but my point is you don't need to translate Portuguese verbiage into English verbiage. You should use plain English.
