CHILPANCINGO, Guerrero, November 8th. – Leonor Montero de la Torre, of 27 years of age, wife of Federal Highway Police officer Gilberto Parra Navarro,
“The devious murder of the wife of the non-commissioned officer (of the Federal Preventative Police) is very lamentable.”
Montero de la Torre was removed by force with her young son in her arms by a armed commando who shot off the chains and locks of the doors of her house, while her husband was on duty, and who it appears, that on Wednesday the 25th [of October] participated in the arrest of two presumed assassins, which was the assumed motive for the revenge, for the execution of three ministerial police investigators that were also part of the operation of their capture [that of the assassins].

Bio
"The Lord works in mysterious ways." I never wanted to learn Spanish, even though my grades were always excellent in that class. I even said that after high school I would never speak Spanish again.
Here I am a decade and change later married to a Spanish speaking person, working with Spanish speaking people, and working in the Spanish language ALL DAY.
In early 2010, I was approached by a professional translator who had seen examples of the pro bono work that I did for some refugees. She has sent me work steadily since that day, and it has been a learning experience.
The differences and innuendos of the meaning of a single word among different country's is as fascinating as it is frustrating. Slang from one country to another, even within the same country is challenging.
My degree in Elementary Education and six years of classroom teaching experience in a private school have broadened my horizons quite a bit, and the last five years of private tutoring and teaching native Spanish speaking children English has been very rewarding.
Working in a religioius charitable organization that focuses on the Spanish speaking refugee since 2001 is what first introduced me to the world of Spanish to English translation. It has been an eye-opening experience into the various aspects of the refugee system here in Canada; it has also helped to clarify certain racial prejudices and cultural misunderstandings.
Books in general and classic literature and poetry in particular are my passion. Reading is an addiction for which I will never submit to rehabilitation!
The more I learn, the more I know that I have even more to learn! PLEASE HELP!
