Source text - Spanish El nacimiento de una nueva civilización
En Latinoamérica está naciendo una nueva civilización, la cual perdurará a lo largo de aproximadamente 5.100 años, en el transcurso de los cuales va a experimentar tres ciclos de 1.700 años cada uno. Durante el primero, fusionará el conocimiento de civilizaciones anteriores, pero sin producir algo genuinamente suyo. Durante el segundo, llevará a cabo su contribución propia y original. Mientras que el tercero consistirá en el renacimiento nostálgico de aquello que se alcanzó en el transcurso los dos ciclos anteriores.
Tal civilización se está empezando a fraguar en Argentina y el Sur de Brasil, pero a medida que crezca y se ponga a caminar, su auge se ira manifestando en otros puntos del continente, como el Amazonas, los Andes, la Costa del Pacífico, México y el Caribe.
Todo ello no lo digo yo, sino que lo dijo ya hace más de 40 años un matemático de origen catalán llamado Alexandre Deulofeu. En la década de los 70s, poco antes de morir, Alexandre fue invitado a Argentina para comunicar sus teorías. Él nos dejó mucha documentación, casi toda escrita en catalán, y poca es la información traducida a otros idiomas.

El presente artículo mezcla conocimientos de Deulofeu con los que yo pueda haber adquirido de otras fuentes o deducido a partir de mi propio análisis intuitivo. Mi objetivo es dar a conocer la obra de Deulofeu, así como aportar mi granito de arena. Te invito pues a emprender este viaje conmigo.
La planta civilizacional
Las civilizaciones nacen, florecen y desaparecen. En el proceso dejan rastro, como organismos vivos que son. Dejan el rastro de aquello que fueron y alcanzaron, pero que ahora observamos como tronco despojado de su verdor. Transcurrieron cinco milenios y esa gran planta civilizacional ya murió, si bien parte de su esencia aún perdura en los genes de aquellas otras plantas que nacieron de su semilla.
Las culturas son las flores de las plantas civilizacionales. Cuando una cultura justo florece, a otra aun no se le abrieron los pétalos, mientras que una tercera se marchita. Cada cultura tiene su momento, su instante de gloria, pero todas ellas acaban por marchitarse y decaer.
Muchas veces los genes de una civilización se mezclan con los de otra planta civilizacional. Cuando ello sucede, la cultura que es polinizada no se queda en mera flor sino que produce un fruto en el que envolver su semilla. Mediante esa semilla se garantiza el nacimiento de una nueva planta en ese bosque de civilizaciones al que llamamos humanidad.
Esa semilla de la que debe nacer una nueva planta, para que realmente podamos hablar de evolución, necesita combinar el material genético de como mínimo dos civilizaciones anteriores. Del híbrido entre ambas, de ese mestizaje, nacerá una tercera planta, capaz de producir una flor que mezcle ambos aromas y un fruto que combine ambos sabores.
Las antiguas plantas civilizacionales de América
En América debieron existir muchas plantas civilizacionales, pero dado que su historia ardió hace cinco siglos en los fuegos de la intransigencia, solo puedo mencionar las dos últimas. Con ello no pretendo afirmar que fueran las únicas, o que todas las culturas que en dicho continente se fueron sucediendo en el transcurso de los últimos cinco milenios pertenecieran a una de esas dos grandes plantas.
Hecha esa advertencia, considero que la primera se extendió de Panamá a Tierra del Fuego, y a falta de un mejor nombre, a ella la llamo civilización Andina. La segunda se extendió de Nicaragua a Alaska, y su nombre dicen que fue Anáhuac.
Allí crecieron otras plantas, antes de esas dos. Por ejemplo, se han descubierto restos de culturas que se extendieron por la Amazonia, como flores y frutos de la que seguramente fuera una civilización Amazónica previa. De ella, cuentan algunas leyendas, procede la civilización Andina; de la mezcla entre aquella civilización amazónica y otra civilización procedente del Pacífico, de influencia Lemuriana. Ello sucedió al final de la era del deshielo, la cual tuvo lugar hace ahora entre 10 y 15 mil años. Fue el Unu Pachakuti (Cataclismo del Agua), como lo llaman en los Andes.
Linea temporal de los últimos 25 mil años
Durante el periodo glaciar la cordillera de los Andes había supuesto un muro inexpugnable. Con el deshielo, sus valles quedaron libres de glaciares. Los pasos de montaña finalmente se abrieron. Ello permitió el contacto entre ambos lados: el Pacífico y la Amazonia. Mientras que al quedar las zonas costeras anegadas por el agua, así como también los valles fluviales, se incentivó el encuentro entre aquellos que allí fueron a refugiarse. Muchas son las leyendas que nos hablan de ese periodo, de como finalizado el deshielo acelerado, Manco Capac y Mama Ocllo restablecen el fenómeno civilizacional. Así debió nacer la civilización andina, cuyo último exponente cultural fueron los Incas, pero en cuyas ramas florecieron muchas otras culturas previas como la de Tiahuanaco, Nazca, Mochica o Huari.

Más al norte, los refugiados debieron proceder sobretodo de una civilización previa al deshielo, la cual se extendió por aquellas zonas del Caribe que quedaron inundadas y a las que Platón llamo Atlantis. Fueron tierras cuyas zonas más altas constituyen ahora islas como Cuba o la República Dominicana. Muchos de sus habitantes se refugiaron en la cordillera de Sierra Madre. Otros, más al norte, lo hicieron en las Montañas Rocosas. A todos ellos los agrupó en una civilización llamada Anáhuac y cuyo último exponente fueron los Mexicas (Aztecas), pero en cuyas ramas florecieron muchas otras culturas como la Maya, Hopi, Zapoteca o Tolteca.

La próxima planta civilizacional
La próxima planta, la siguiente civilización del planeta, ya brotó. Su fecha de nacimiento fue el momento en el que la mayoría de los países Latinoamericanos obtuvieron su independencia de España y Portugal. Así pues, Colombia y Venezuela la obtuvieron hacia el año 1810, Argentina, Uruguay y parte de Bolivia en el 1816, Chile en el 1818, Perú y México en el 1821, Brasil en el 1822. Todos dichos países o bien acaban de celebrar su segundo centenario, como naciones independientes, o lo harán pronto.
Dos siglos de vida, en términos humanos, equivale a un niño de unos tres años y medio de edad, quien apenas empieza a descubrir el mundo. Digamos que es la edad en la que el pequeño empieza a definir su propia identidad, independiente de la de sus padres, pero aun muy influenciado por éstos. Para ello estoy considerando que 58 años de una civilización equivalen a un año humano, transformando esos 5.100 años de esperanza media de una civilización en el equivalente humano de 88 años de vida.
La planta madre de la que procede la semilla considero que es una mezcla de la civilización Andina y de la Anáhuac. La influencia Andina se manifestará con mayor intensidad en las culturas que se vayan sucediéndose al sur, y la influencia Anáhuac en aquellas ubicadas más al norte. Como padre, portador del polen, tenemos a la civilización Occidental cuyo origen se remonta al año 900 a. C.
El ciclo civilizacional
Muchas son las culturas que reconocieron ese gran ciclo civilizacional de aproximadamente 5.000 años, por lo que no podemos realmente decir que lo haya descubierto Deulofeu. Por ejemplo, los incas lo llamaron Gran Sol, el cual se componía de cinco soles de mil años cada uno. Mientras que para la cultura Maya constituían trece baktunes, cuya duración era de 5.129 años, a los cuales parece ser que se le añadía un periodo de 71 años de sincronización, dando 5.200 años. Mientras que los Mexicas, pertenecientes a la misma civilización del Anáhuac, llamaron Sol a ese ciclo, y los Hopi lo llamaron Mundo.
Vemos pues que por el lado de las plantas madre, el ciclo fue ya conocido. No parece que lo fuera por el lado de la planta padre, y de ahí la originalidad del hallazgo de Deulofeu: ser el primero en dicha civilización que deduce el ciclo a partir de su propia observación de la historia y no como herencia de un legado antiguo.
Una civilización previa a la occidental que si conocía el ciclo fue la Griega, la cual ya ha cumplido 4.700 años de edad y se halla al final de la tercera ola. Lo observamos por ejemplo en el mito de las edades de Hesíodo, quien nos habla de cinco edades (Oro, Plata, Cobre, Héroe y Hierro) con las que dividir el ciclo de precesión de 25.000 años aproximadamente, dando como resultado unos 5.000 años por edad. Hesiodo vivió hacia el 700 a. C. cuando la civilización griega tenía 2.000 años de edad y se hallaba en su segunda ola, la misma fase en la que se halla actualmente la civilización Occidental.
Las tres olas civilizacionales
La que tal vez constituya la mayor originalidad de Deulofeu sea el hecho de haber identificado tres olas creativas, cada una de 1.700 años, con las que dividir esos 5.100 años de vida media de una civilización. Digamos que cada gran planta civilizacional dispone de tres veranos para dar su fruto. Y como ya se comentó en la introducción del presente artículo:
Durante su primera ola la civilización expresa elementos de aquellas civilizaciones anteriores de las que se dejó impregnar.
La segunda ola es aquella en la cual aporta su hecho diferencial, algo que es suyo, propio y original.
Mientras que durante la tercera ola se da un renacimiento, un deseo por recuperar lo anterior, sin que podamos hablar de verdadera originalidad.
Por poner un par de sus ejemplos, Deulofeu nos cuenta como la civilización Irano-Sumero-Caldea inició su primera ola creativa hacia el año 5200 a. C. en el actual Irán. Hacia el 3500 a. C. tuvo lugar su segunda ola creativa, esta vez un poco más al oeste, en Sumeria, actual Iraq. Y hacia el año 1800 a. C., transcurrido un periodo de tiempo de otros 1.700 años, su nuevo centro creador se había desplazado a Caldea, para desaparecer hacia el 100 a. C. ¿Cuáles fueron sus civilizaciones de origen? Una tuvo que ser la Harappan, del valle del Indo, y otra seguramente fuera aquella que produjo Göbekli Tepe, en la actual Turquía.
Un proceso similar tuvo lugar con la civilización griega. Sus inicios los ubica en el año 2700 a. C. en Creta. Constituye el periodo de leyenda, como la del minotauro, durante la Era de Tauro. Durante dicha primera ola, la civilización Griega integro influencias de otras civilizaciones, como la del Antiguo Egipto y la Irano-Sumero-Caldea. Su segunda ola, aquella en la que una civilización crea algo propio en vez de un híbrido de civilizaciones previas, se inició hacia el año 1000 a. C. Dicha segunda ola empezó en la Jonia y Eolida, para irse desplazando a través de las islas Cícladas, hasta llegar a la Grecia peninsular. Mientras que la tercera ola tuvo su inicio hacia el año 700 d. C, se dio en la Grecia peninsular, y finalizará en los alrededores del año 2400 d. C.
Equivalencias humanas
En términos humanos, digamos que cada uno de los tres ciclos de 1.700 años por los que pasa una civilización equivalen a los tres retornos de Saturno que experimenta alguien que viva hasta los 88 años de edad. Cada poco más de 29 años Saturno regresa a la posición en la que se hallaba en el momento de nuestro nacimiento, de forma que quienes alcancen la edad de 88 años habrán completado tres de tales ciclos.
Astrológicamente, cada vez que Saturno regresa a su posición natal, se nos está pidiendo deshacernos de todo aquello que entorpece nuestro crecimiento personal. Se nos da una oportunidad de trascender las pautas, rutinas y tendencias que no nos dejan madurar, con el objetivo de llevar a cabo el cambio que nos permita empezar el siguiente ciclo con energía renovada. Y en cada uno de esos ciclos se van a ir repitiendo experiencias y acontecimientos, sobretodo en la medida en la que no seamos capaces de acometer el cambio que Saturno nos exige.
Si 1.700 años civilizaciones equivalen a 29 años humanos, ello significa que cada siglo civilizacional corresponde a 20 meses en el ser humano. De ahí que os dijera como ese niño, o mejor dicho, esa niña que nació en Latinoamérica hace dos siglos, tenga unos tres años y medio de edad. Digo niña pues toda nueva civilización que vaya a servir como guía a la humanidad en el transcurso de los próximos cinco milenios debe, necesariamente, ayudarnos a recuperar el equilibrio de género a partir de un retorno a lo femenino. Los dos periodos de cada ola
Otra originalidad Deulofeuniana fue la observación de cómo cada una de las tres olas civilizacionales de 1.700 años dispone de dos periodos claramente diferenciados. Al primero, de 650 años de duración, lo llamó época de fraccionamiento. Según él, constituía un periodo en el que los distintos territorios tendían a independizarse de antiguos centros de poder, culminando en una fase de esplendor creativo en el que la civilización no busca imponerse por las armas sino por las ideas.
En el segundo periodo, de 1.050 años, las culturas buscan expresarse ya no como cuna de ideas sino como imperios, para expandir su área de influencia a partir del dominio del otro. Durante el mismo, las culturas no buscan influenciar a partir de la fuerza de sus ideas, sino dominar por la fuerza de sus armas. Al mismo lo llamó fase unificadora.
Dado que el periodo de 650 años de fraccionamiento con el que una civilización inicia cada una de las tres olas son los más creativos, por buscarse la expansión a partir de la persuasión de las ideas y no de las armas. Y dado que la segunda ola constituye aquella durante la cual una civilización realiza su aportación más original. Tenemos como periodo más creativo aquel que media entre los 1.700 años y los 2.350 años, por ser aquellos en los que coinciden ambas influencias.
Por poner la Grecia Clásica como ejemplo, dicho periodo va del 1000 a. C. y 450 a. C. durante el cual vivió Hesíodo. En cambio, Sócrates nació en el año 470 a. C. y murió ejecutado, lo cual nos muestra como la Grecia Clásica de aquel momento estaba ya en el proceso de abandonar su fase de libertad creativa; para entrar en la fase unificadora, en la que los hechos y las ideas son manipuladas con fines políticos, para a partir de ellas justificar la unión, o suprimidas, cuando ponen en peligro el ansia expansionista. Así tenemos como Platón fue discípulo de Sócrates, y Aristóteles lo fue de Platón, quien tuvo a Alejando Magno como alumno, con el cual se empezó a cuajar la fase unificadora de la segunda ola de la civilización Griega. Así fue como la flor de la cultura ateniense se marchitó, dando paso al imperio de Macedonia.

La proporción entre 1.050 y 650 años se rige por Phi, también conocido como el número de oro o proporción áurea. Phi define una proporción que encontramos repetidamente en la naturaleza y cuyo valor aproximado es 0.618. No parece que Deulofeu se percatara de tal relación entre los dos periodos, lo cual da aun más crédito a sus observaciones, ya que sin saberlo estaba dividiendo cada ola civilizacional según los parámetros utilizados por la naturaleza para generar armonía tanto en el tiempo como en el espacio.
Analogías, profecías y pilares civilizacionales
La nueva civilización que está emergiendo en Latinoamérica ya fue predicha en muchas profecías. Desde mastay.info hemos ido mencionándolas, una a una, intentando no olvidar ninguna. Por ejemplo:
El artículo “Tiempo Sagrado” hace la analogía entre el ciclo de precesión de 25.000 años y el ciclo anual, con sus cuatro estaciones. Allí se explica cómo justo finalizamos un largo invierno, el cual vino a durar unos 6500 años, para entrar en la primavera. Simboliza el momento en el que el hielo se derrite y a las plantas de hoja caduca les empiezan a brotar las hojas. Mientras que la edad dorada iría desde el momento en el que esas mismas plantas florecen, hasta que dan su fruto. Y dado que no todo florece a la vez, el presente artículo explicó cómo una nueva planta civilizacional está naciendo en Latinoamérica, la cual está empezando a florecer cuando aun queda nieve por derretirse.
El artículo “Imaginal” hace otra analogía, ésta vez vinculando las edades con las fases en la vida de una mariposa. En la nueva analogía, la oruga sería el periodo de materialidad en el que buscamos el crecimiento. El deshielo de las nieves que se fueron acumulando a lo largo del invierno vendría a ser esa fase en el que la oruga deja de buscar el crecimiento desenfrenado y se envuelve en una crisálida, para acabar diluyendo la mayor parte de su cuerpo en una sopa de proteínas. Mientras que la nueva edad de oro que se avecina vendría representada por la mariposa, volando de flor en flor, antes de poner los huevos de la siguiente generación y empezar a marchitarse. Aquí pues la analogía nos aparece ya no desde la óptica del mundo vegetal, sino del mundo animal.
El artículo “La Profecía” hace una analogía con el mundo de los humanos. La profeciía aparece codificada en los arcanos 15, 16 y 17 de las cartas del tarot. El arcano 15 es El Diablo, el cual expresa el periodo de materialidad actual, antes expresada como invierno u oruga. El siguiente arcano es La Torre (Arcano 16), en la que se puede apreciar el colapso de una estructura. Simboliza el deshielo, así como la fase en la que el cuerpo de la oruga queda diluido en el interior de la crisálida. Mientras que el arcano 17 es La Estrella, simbolizando el periodo de luz que se avecina. La misma profecía vuelve a aparecer en el prólogo del libro Mastay, la Alquimia del Reencuentro.

Una profecía similar, esta vez vinculando ese renacimiento a Latinoamérica, aparece en el artículo “¿Dónde es mejor vivir?”. La profecía pertenece a Don Bosco, capellán del siglo XIX, quien habla que ese renacimiento tendrá lugar en Sudamerica, entre los paralelos 15º y 20º Sur. Ello lo ubica un poco más al norte que Deulofeu, aunque la verdad es que el lugar concreto en el que vaya a expresarse primero esa nueva civilización no es tan relevante, dado que desde allí, se expandirá rápidamente por todo el continente.
Más en línea con las predicciones de Don Bosco, tenemos todas aquellas profecías incas que nos hablan del renacimiento del Tawantinsuyu (antiguo Estado Inca), desde el cual una nueva luz se extenderá por Latinoamérica, para luego irradiar al resto del mundo. Tales profecías ubican el epicentro en la ciudad del Cusco. Las mismas las encontramos mencionadas en el artículo La Profecía, en el prólogo de Mastay, la Alquimia del Reencuentro, así como en el libro Anatomía Inka del Alma.
En Anatomía Inka del Alma se menciona que si bien ese renacer tal vez se inicie en la zona del Cusco, brillará como sol del mediodía en aquella tierra actualmente conocida como Colombia y Venezuela. El epicentro, en esta ocasión, será Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, en cuya región floreció la antigua cultura Tairona. Allí Latinoamérica tiene su corazón, mientras que en el Cusco tiene su ombligo.
En dicha obra encontramos de nuevo la profecía, esta vez expresada como ascenso de la energía evolutiva del alma (Kundalini o Amaru) desde el chakra o centro energético del ombligo al del corazón. El centro energético del ombligo está vinculado a la voluntad, expresada actualmente como deseo por enriquecerse materialmente (Invierno del alma, estadio de oruga y arcano 15 del tarot “el Diablo”). Mientras que en el centro energético del corazón, esa voluntad busca amar, servir al otro y crecer espiritualmente (Primavera del alma, estadio de mariposa y Arcano 17 del tarot “la Estrella”). El ascenso de la energía desde el ombligo al corazón estaría vinculado a la fase intermedia, en la que nos deshacemos de lo que nos estorba. Constituye el deshielo con el que se da inicio a la primavera, cuando a la planta le empiezan a brotar las hojas. En la mariposa, es su fase de crisálida. Y en el tarot, viene representada por la Torre del arcano 16 que se colapsa.
Pero para que se pueda dar ese cambio necesitamos celebrar un nuevo contrato social y natural. Contrato social es aquel que los humanos hemos suscrito entre nosotros. Contrato natural es aquel que tenemos acordado con la Madre Tierra. Esos dos contratos piden consenso, el cual, según nos indican las profecías incas, se logrará a partir del Mastay, un encuentro multitudinario que tendrá lugar en el antiguo territorio del Tawantinsuyu. Constituye un encuentro entre la gente de las cuatro direcciones o elementos. Es decir, entre las civilizaciones de Tierra, Agua, Fuego y Aire. De ello nos habla el libro Mastay, La Alquimia del Reencuentro, el cual propone un dialogo entre esos cuatro grandes grupos de civilizaciones para así poder encontrar la complementariedad.
Y si bien la complementariedad es necesaria, para que cada uno de esos cuatro grupos de civilizaciones aporte su granito de arena, tenemos como la influencia de uno de los cuatro va a ser mayor. Actualmente esa influencia la ejercen las civilizaciones vinculadas al elemento Fuego, como son la Griega, Judaica, Occidental y Eslava. Pero en el futuro esa influencia mayor va a proceder de las culturas y civilizaciones vinculadas al elemento Tierra, ubicadas principalmente sobre el trópico de Capricornio. A ellas pertenecieron las antiguas civilizaciones Andina y Anáhuac. No debe pues sorprendernos que la nueva civilización que está naciendo en Latinoamérica mezcle sobretodo dos elementos: Tierra por el lado de la madre y Fuego por el lado del padre. Ella constituye la civilización puente y de ahí que mezcle justamente el elemento actualmente predominante (Fuego) con aquel que está en alza (Tierra). Las civilizaciones de Fuego cumplieron su función y que fue la de engordar a la oruga. Ahora le toca a las civilizaciones de Tierra, a las cuales les toca metamorfosear en mariposa esa sopa de proteínas en la que la oruga está a punto de transformarse una vez complete la crisálida a su alrededor. Esa crisálida no es otra que internet.
Así como “Imaginal” explica la transición como analogía, lo cual hace que sea fácil de leer, el articulo “Nuevas Leyes de Pensamiento” explica de forma conceptual los cambios que debemos llevar a cabo para que la humanidad actual deje de ser oruga y se transforme en mariposa. Explica el cambio de cosmovisión y paradigma, desde la actual, en la que el elemento Fuego es predominante, hacia otra en la que va a predominar Tierra. Pero si te advierto que todo ello se explica de forma muy condensada, lo cual hace que no sea un artículo fácil de absorber. Si lo que quieres es no solo leer sobre esa necesidad de cambio colectivo, sino llevarlo a cabo en ti mismo o misma, para ello tienes El Arte de Encontrarse, libro que voy publicando on-line a medida que escribo cada nuevo capítulo.
Otro artículo que trata lo mismo pero ya no desde la óptima de las leyes de pensamiento de una civilización, sino de los pilares sobre los que se sustentará la tan esperada edad dorada, lo tenemos en “Los Pilares de Una Nueva Era”. Allí te comento cómo los tres pilares sobre los que se sustentó la oruga son la rueda, la escritura y el dinero, los cuales aparecieron hace ahora 5.000 años. Mientras que al final del artículo introduzco aquellos sobre los que en mi opinión va a sustentarse la mariposa.
Si tenemos en cuneta que la civilización que justo está emergiendo en Latinoamérica posee únicamente 200 años, y siendo 5.100 años la vida media de una civilización, queda claro en quién va a recaer la responsabilidad de promover los próximos tres pilares y las nuevas leyes de pensamiento. Esa responsabilidad va a recaer ante todo en Latinoamérica. Pero no debemos olvidar que existen otras dos civilizaciones que ya se están empezando a fraguar, todo y que aun son infantes que no aprendieron a caminar o plantas a punto de brotar. Una es África y la otra Oceanía. De ellas te hablaré en artículos que aun no fueron escritos.
Translation - English A new civilisation is being born in Latin America, one which will live on for approximately 5,100 years, during which three cycles of 1,700 years each will be witnessed. During the first, the knowledge of previous civilisations will be fused, however without producing anything that could be genuinely called its own. During the second, this civilisation will succeed in producing its own, original contribution. The third will consist of the nostalgic rebirth of that which was achieved during the previous two cycles.
Such a civilisation is starting to be forged in Argentine and in the south of Brazil, but as it grows and begins to walk, its rise will manifest itself in other parts of the continent, such as the Amazon, the Andes, the Pacific Coast, Mexico And the Caribbean.
This prediction is not my own, it was made over 40 years ago by a mathematician from Catalonia called Alexandre Deulofeu. During the 1970s, shortly before his death, Alexandre was invited to Argentina to discuss his theories. He left us a large body of writing, almost all of it written in Catalan and little of it has been translated to other languages.
This article fuses the ideas of Deulofeu with others that I have been able to acquire from other sources or that I have deduced from my own intuitive analysis. My aim is to make Deulofeu’s work known, as well as to add my own humble opinions. I invite you to take this journey with me.
Civilisations are born, they bloom and they disappear. In the process they leave traces, like the living organisms they are. They leave traces of what they were and what they achieved, but, which to us they seem like tree trunks robbed of their verdure. 5 millennia have passed and although this great civilizational plant has since died, a part of its essence still lives on in the genes of those other plants which were born from its seed.
Cultures are the flowers of the civilizational plants. When one culture has just flowered, another has yet to open its petals, while yet another is withering. Each culture has its moment of glory, but eventually all of them wither and die.
Very often the genes of a civilisation are mixed with those of a different civilizational plant. When this happens, the culture that is pollinated doesn’t remain a mere flower, it becomes a fruit which envelops its seed. The existence of this seed guarantees the birth of a new plant in this forest of civilisations which we call humanity.
This seed, from which must be born a new plant in order for us to really be able to talk of evolution, needs to combine the genetic material of a minimum of two previous civilisations. From the hybrid between these two civilisations, this fusion, a third plant will be born, one capable of producing a flower that mixes both aromas and a fruit that combines both flavours.
The ancient civilizational plants of America
There must have once existed many civilizational plants in America, but due to the fact that much of its history has been lost in the bonfire of ignorance and obstinacy, I can only speak of the two most recent ones. In doing so I am not claiming that these most recent civilisations are the only ones, or that all the cultures born in that continent during the first five millennia belonged to one of these vast plants.
Having established this, I want to explain that as I understand it, the first of these civilisations stretched from Panama to Tierra del Fuego, and in the absence of a better name I call this civilisation Andean. The second stretched from Nicaragua to Alaska, which we will call Anáhuac.
Other plants grew in these areas before these two. For example, traces of cultures that extended as far as the Amazon have been discovered, which were surely the fruits and flowers of an earlier Amazonian civilisation. According to several legends, the Amazonian civilisation precedes that of the Andes. According to these same legends, this ancient Amazonian civilisation fused with one of its contemporaries, the civilisation of Lemuriana. This happened at the end of the last ice age, between 10 and 15 thousand years ago. This is known in the Andes as the Unu Pachakuti (The Water Catastrophe.)
It was thought that during the ice age, the Andean mountain range was an impenetrable wall. With the thawing of the ice, the glaciers that occupied its valleys vanished and passes through the mountains finally opened up. This enabled the two sides contact between the two sides, namely the Pacific and the Amazonian. With both the coastal areas and the valleys being in a constant state of flood, people sought refuge in the higher ground. There are many legends which speak of this period, of how Manco Capac and Mama Ocllo re-established the phenomenon of civilisation when the thawing of the ice was complete. It must have been this context that gave birth to Andean civilisation, whose final cultural exponents were the Incas, but in whose branches bloomed many other cultures that came earlier, such as the Tiahuanaco, Nazca, Mochica and Huari.
For refugees further north, the starting-point for their exodus was a civilisation which pre-dated the thawing of the ice, which extended from areas of the Caribbean which remained flooded to the area Plato called Atlantis. These were lands whose highlands now form islands such as Cuba or the Dominican Republic. Many of their inhabitants took refuge in the Sierra Madre mountain, while others, from further north, headed to the Rocosa mountains. Together, they formed a civilisation called the Anáhuac. The last exponent of this civilisation was the Mexica (Aztec) culture, but many other cultures flowered in its branches, such as the Maya, Hopi, Zapoteca and Tolteca.
The next civilizational plant
The next plant, our planet’s next great civilisation, has already sprouted. The date of its birth was the moment that the majority of Latin-American countries obtained their freedom from Spain and Portugal. For Columbia and Venezuela, this happened in 1810, for Argentina, Uruguay and part of Bolivia in 1816, for Chile in 1818, for Peru and Mexico in 1821 and for Brazil in 1822. All of these countries have either just celebrated their second century as independent nations, or will do so soon.
The equivalent of 200 years of life, in terms of human history, would be a child of three and half years, one who is just beginning to understand the world. We could say that this is the age at which a child might begin to define their own identity, independent from its parents but still very much under their influence. Here I want to say that I consider 58 years of a civilisation’s existence is equivalent to one human year, based on the average 5,100 life expectancy for a civilisation and the 88 years the average human can expect to live for.
As I understand it, the mother plant from which this seed originates is a hybrid of the Andean and Anáhuac civilisations. The Andean influence will be manifested most intensely in those cultures which lay further south, while the Anáhuac influence will be more strongly pronounced in the north. And the father, the one who pollinated these cultures, is the western civilisation that we have, whose origins lie in the year 900 B.C.
The civilisational cycle
Given that many cultures have recognised this great cycle of civilisations of approximately 5,000 years, it would be inaccurate to claim that Deulofeu discovered it. For example, it was known to the Incas as the “Great Sun,” and was composed of 5 suns of approximately 1,000 years each. For the Mayan culture, it constituted 13 baktunes, whose duration was 5,129 years, to which a period of 71 years of syncronisation seems to have been added, giving a total of 5,200 years. The Mexicas, who belonged to the same civilisation as the Anáhuac, named the cycle the “Sun,” meanwhile the Hopi called it the “World.”
We can see that this cycle was already well-known by these mother plants. It doesn't seem to be so on the father plant side, y here lies the originality of Deulofeu's work: To be the first in this civilisation to deduce the cycle from their own observations and research, rather than inheriting the knowledge from an ancient lineage of information.
One civilisation that predates Western civilisation that knew of the cycle was the Greek, which is over 4,700 years old and is coming to the end of the third wave. Their awareness of the cycle can be observed in the myths of Hesiod, who spoke of five ages (Gold, Silver, Copper, Hero and Iron) with which can be divided the cycle of approximately 25,000 years, resulting in around 5,000 years for each epoch. Hesiod lived until 700 B.C., at which point the Greek civilisation was over 2,000 years old was in its second wave, which is the same phase the Western civilisation is currently in.
The three waves of civilisation
Perhaps Deulofeu's most original contribution was the identification of three waves of creation with which we can divide the average 5,100-year lifespan of a civilisation into waves of 1,700 years. Let's that each great civilisational plant needs three summers before it can bear fruit, and, as already mentioned at the beginning of this article:
During the first wave, the civilisation expresses the elements of previous civilisations with which it was impregnated.
It is the second wave that a civilisation makes its own, original contributions.
In the third wave, a rebirth takes place, along with a desire to recover what has gone before, without us being able to talk of anything of true originality
By using a pair of examples, Deulofeu describes how the Iranian-Cumerian-Chaldean civilisation began its first wave of creation in around 5,200 B.C in present-day Iran. Around the year 3,500 B.C., the second wave of creation took place, this time little further west in Sumeria, present-day Iraq. Then, in around 1,800 B.C., approximately 1,700 years later, its creative centre moved to Chaldea, and the disappeared around the year 100 B.C. From what civilisations did this one originate? The Harappan was almost certainly one of them, and the most likely candidate for the other is the one which produced Göbekli Tepe, in modern-day Turkey
A similar process took place in the Greek civilisation. Its origins can be traced to Crete in the year 2700 B.C. This was an age of legends, such as that of the Minotaur, during the Age of Taurus. During its first wave, the Greek civilisation absorbed influences from other civilisations, such as the Ancient Egyptians and the Iranian-Sumerian-Chaldean. Its second wave, in which a civilisation really comes into its own, instead of being a hybrid of previous civilisations, began around the year 1000 B.C. Its origins can be located in Ionia and Eolid. It then moved through the Cycladic islands, before arriving at the Greek mainland. The third wave began in the Greek mainland around the year 700 A.D., and will come to end in approximately 2400 A.D.
Human equivalents
In human terms, we can say that each one of these three cycles of 1,700 years in which a civilisation passes through a wave is equivalent to the three orbits of Saturn that someone who lived to be 88 would experience. After a period of just over 29 years, Saturn returns to the position it was in at our birth, and therefore someone who had lived for 88 years would have completed 3 of these cycles.
From an astrological perspective, each time Saturn return to occupy its natal position, we are being asked to abandon everything that is hindering our personal growth. We are being offered a chance to transcend the practices, routines and behaviours that do not serve us, with a view to realising the changes with the renewed energy offered to us by the second cycle. Certain experiences and events will be repeated In each of these cycles, especially if we fail to make the changes which Saturn requires of us.
If 1,700 civilisational years equates to 29 human years, then a civilisational century corresponds to 20 months of being human. This is why I claimed that this child, which is female and was born in Latin America two centuries ago, would be 3 and half years old. I say female because for any new civilisation to be able to serve as a guide for humanity over the course of the next 5 millennia must, by definition, help us to regain equality and harmony between the genders via a revival of the feminine.
The two parts of the wave
Another of Deulofeu's original contributions was the observation that each of the three civilisational waves of 1,700 years was divided into to distinct parts. The first, lasting for 650 years, he called the age of division. According to Deulofeu, this constituted a period in which distinct territories had to gain independence from ancient centres of power, culminating in the phase of creative splendour en which the civilisation seeks not to assert power through military might but rather with ideas.
In the second period of 1,050 years, the different cultures no longer attempt to define themselves as cradles of culture, but rather as empires, and dominate other cultures in order to expand their area of influence. During this phase, cultures do not try to be influential through the power of their ideas, but rather through their military might. Deulofeu called this the phase of unification.
We can say that the 650 year-long periods of division with which a civilisation begins each of its 3 waves are the most creative, as to the expansionist ambitions of the civilisation are proliferated via the persuasiveness of its ideas and not via military means. And given that it is the second wave that a civilisation makes its most original contributions, the most creative period that period between 1700 years and 2350 years after the birth of the civilisation, as it is here in which both influences coincide.
Using Classical Greece as an example, this period of high creativity occurred in the years between 1000 B.C. And 450 A.D, during which time Hesiod lived and died. On the other hand, Socrates was born in 470 A.D. and was executed, which shows us that at that moment, Classical Greek civilisation was in the process of abandoning its phase of creative freedom and was entering the phase of unification, in which ideas are either manipulated to political ends and used to justify the process of unification, or, if they are dangerous to the forces of expansion, suppressed. Just as Plato was a disciple of Socrates, as Aristotle was of Plato, who in turn called Alexander the Great on of his students, the consolidation of the unifying phase of the second wave of Greek civilisation was underway. This is how the flower of Athenian culture withered and gave birth to the empire of Macedonia.
This ratio of 1,050 to 650 years is governed by Phi, and is also known as the golden number or ratio. Phi defines a ratio which we repeatedly find en nature and whose approximate value is 0.618. Deulofeu does not seem to notice this relationship between the two periods, which gives even more credit to his observations, as therefore he unknowingly divided each civilizational wave according to the parameters used by nature to generate harmony both in time and in space.
Analogies, prophecies and civilisational pillars
The new civilisation which is emerging in Latin America has already been predicted in several prophecies. At Mastay.info we have made references to them, carefully, trying to remember them all. For example:
The article “Sacred Time” makes an analogy between the precedent cycle of 2,500 years and the annual cycle, with its four seasons. The article explains how a long winter of 6,500 years has just ended, and how the spring is just beginning.This symbolises the moment when the ice melts and the bare trees and plants one more begin to sprout leaves. Meanwhile, the golden age is defined as the period which starts when these same plants begin to bloom, and lasts until they bear fruit. Given that they don't all flower at the same time, this article explained how a new civilisational plant is being born in Latin America, one which is starting to flower even though there is still ice left to melt.
The article "Imagine" makes a different analogy, this time linking the ages with the life of a butterfly. In this analogy, the caterpillar would correspond to the period of materiality in which we seek to grow. The period in which the ice which has been accumulating all winter finally thaws correlates to the part of a caterpillar's life ceases to search unbridled growth, and envelopes itself in a cocoon, in order to steep itself in a soup of protein. The golden age, on the other hand, comes closest to representing the butterfly, flying from flower to flower, before laying the eggs which will give birth to the new generation and eventually beginning to wither. Understood in this way, the analogies of civilisations as plants no longer seem so apt. Instead, analogies with the animal kingdom seem to be more suitable.
Meanwhile, the article "The Prophecy" instead makes its analogy with the human world. The concept of the prophecy is encoded into tarot cards, numbers 15, 16 and 17. Number 15 is the devil, who expresses the period of materiality, represented in the other analogies as winter and a caterpillar. Next comes number 16, the bull, which can be thought of as representing the collapse of a structure. This symbolises the thawing of the ice, similar to the phase in which the caterpillar metamorphises inside the cocoon. Finally, number 17, the star, symbolises the period of light which follows. The same prophecy appears again in the prologue to the book: Mastay, The Alchemy of Rediscovery
A similar prophecy, this time linking this rebirth to Latin America, appears in the article “Where Is The Best Place To Live?” The prophecy belongs to Don Bosco, a 19th-century chaplain who claimed that this rebirth would take place in South America, between the 15th and 20th southern parallels. This places it a little further north than Deulofeu would later predict, although the truth is that the exact location in which this new civilisation might first manifest itself is of little relevance, as it will expand rapidly outwards, eventually incorporating the entire continent.
More consistent with the predictions of Don Bosco are those of the Incas, which speak of the rebirth of Tawantinsuyu (The ancient Incan nation), from where a new light will shine on the whole South American continent, later illuminating the entire world. Such prophecies place the epicentre of all this in the city of Cusco, in present-day Peru. The same prophecies appear in the article “The Prophecy,” in the prologue to “Matay, The Alchemy of Rediscovery,” and also in the book "Incan Anatomy Of The Soul"
In "Incan Anatomy Of The Soul," it is stated that although the rebirth may originate in the area around Cusco, it will peak, like the midday sun, in those areas currently known as Columbia and Venezuela. The epicentre in this occasion will be Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, where the ancient Tairona culture blossomed. This is the heart of Latin America, with Cusco being its navel.
In the volume mentioned above, we again find the prophecy, this time expressed as the ascent of evolutionary energy from the soul (Kundalini o Amaru) from the chakra or energy centre of the navel to the heart. The energy centre of the navel is linked to the will, expressed nowadays as the desire to acquire material possessions (Winter of the soul, state of being a caterpillar and number 15 in a deck of tarot cards: The devil). Meanwhile, in the energy centre of the heart, this will manifest itself in the search for love, the desire to serve others and spiritual growth (Spring of the soul, state of being a butterfly and number 17: The star). The ascent of energy from the navel to the heart could be linked to the intermediate phase, in which we abandon that which does not serve us. This relates to the thawing of the ice which signals the beginning of spring, when the plants begin to sprout leaves. In the butterfly analogy, it is the chrysalis stage, while it is represented by tarot card number 16, the bull, which pertains to the collapse of a structure.
But in order for this change to take place, we would need to redefine the terms of our current social and environmental contracts. The social contract is the contract we have drawn up amongst ourselves, while the environmental contract is the one we hold with mother earth. These two contracts seek to find a consensus, which, according to the Incan prophecies, will be achieved upon the realisation of Mastay, a meeting which will be attended by many and will take place in the ancient territory of Tawantinsuyu. It will be attended by people belonging to four houses or elements, namely, the civilisations of Earth, Water, Wind and Fire. The book "Mastay, The Alchemy Of Rediscovery," which proposes a dialogue between these four great groups of civilisations in order that we might discover in what ways they complement one another.
Yet while it this complementarity is necessary in order for each of these four groups to be able to contribute that which only they themselves can, inevitably, one or another of these civilisations will exert a greater influence than the others. Currently, those civilisations linked to the element of fire are the most influential, such as the Greek, Judean, Western and Slavic. However, in the future, we will that those civilisations linked by the element of earth will be the most influential, and these are predominately located in the Tropic of Capricorn. To this group belong the ancient Andean and Anáhuac civilisations. It should come as no surprise to us that the civilisation currently being born in Latin America is primarily a mix of these two elements Earth on its maternal side and fire on the paternal. The result is a civilisation which serves as a bridge from which the element which is currently dominant (fire) can be carefully combined with the element of earth, which is emerging as the new dominant force.
The fire civilisations fulfilled their purpose, which was to fatten the caterpillar. It is now the turn of the earth civilisations, on whom falls the responsibility of transforming the caterpillar, which is dormant in a soup of protein, and metamorphosing it into a butterfly. To do this, it must first complete the chrysalis which surrounds it, and this chrysalis is none other but the internet.
Just as "Imagine" explains the transition using an analogical narrative which makes it easy to read, the article "New Laws Of Thinking" explains the changes which must take place in order for humanity to progress away from being the caterpillar and become the butterfly. It explains the paradigm and worldview changes we need to make in order to take us away from the current one, in which fire is predominant, towards one in which earth predominates. But if I were to say to you that all of this was explained in a very condensed form, that would not be to say that it is an easy article to absorb. If you want to do more than just read about this need for a collective shift in consciousness and actually want to carry it out yourself, a book called "The Art of Finding Yourself", which I publish online after completing each chapter can help you.
"The Pillars Of A New Era" addresses the same topic but from a different angle, describing instead the pillars on which the long-awaited golden age will be based, rather than laws of thinking in a civilisation. Here I would like to mention that the three pillars which supported the caterpillar were the wheel, written language and money, which first appeared 5,000 years ago. In the later stages of the article, I introduce what I consider will be the pillars which in my opinion will support the butterfly.
If we take into account that the civilisation that is presently emerging in Latin America is just 200 years old and that 5,100 years is the lifespan of the average civilisation, it is clear on whom the responsibility of promoting the next three pillars and new laws of thinking will fall. This responsibility will fall on all of Latin America. But we must not forget that there exist two other civilisations which have already started to forge, and they are still infants who have not yet learned to walk and flowers on the cusp of blooming. One is Africa and the other is Oceania. I will talk of these in articles that have not yet been written.
