Source text - English Immersed in a world of tranquillity, the Menara Gardens outside Marrakech take their name from the pyramid-roofed pavilion within them, which stands alongside an artificial lake surrounded by orchards and olive groves. While on a visit you are likely to see spectacular views of the Atlas mountains in the distance and entire families picnicking or strolling in the grounds. The gardens themselves date back to the 12th Century, while the pavilion was built in the 16th century and restored in 1869 for Sultan Abderrahmane, who chose it as is his summer residence.
The Medina or old city of Marrakech is however likely to inspire the most vibrant memories in a visitor, with its many narrow winding streets to explore, free of motor traffic as they have been for hundreds of years, thronging with smiling faces under a clear blue sky filled with birdsong.

Il prend son nom du pavillon au toit pyramidal se trouvant à l’intérieur, au bord d’un lac artificiel entouré de vergers et d’oliviers. Pendant votre visite il vous sera possible d’admirer au loin la vue spectaculaire des montagnes de l’Atlas. De nombreuses familles y viennent pour pique-niquer et s’y promener. Le jardin remonte au 12e siècle, tandis que le pavillon fut construit au 16e siècle, puis restauré en 1869 pour le sultan Abderrahmane, qui en fit sa résidence estivale.
La Médina - ou ancienne ville de Marrakech - saura inspirer les plus merveilleux souvenirs à chaque visiteur avec ses nombreuses ruelles enchevêtrées à explorer, loin du trafic et peuplées de visages souriants, sous un ciel bleu empli par le gazouillis des oiseaux.
