I have worked as a translator/proofreader for more than 10 years, on an ad hoc basis when I was employed as a researcher, then regularly after giving up my employment to bring up my children. I am very much involved in the international development sector and regularly contracted by one of the major British Think Tank in that domain, to carry out specialised translation, proofreading, editing and design work. I also worked for a famous Hotel publication company for years translating several summers in a row, their new and/or updated brochures. I am very flexible and used to deadlines. I am educated to postgraduate level in Geography (specialised both physical and human) and in Rural Studies (equivalent MA + MSC). I also have years of experience teaching French and preparing my own material. I am a keen learner and I enjoy new challenges.
