Source text - English In order to preserve extended life span of overhead power line components, it is necessary to closely supervise their condition. This is especially important for conductors which are approaching the end of their life span. At that stage, a rapid material deterioration frequently occurs. Because of that, increasing the level of effective exploitation of overhead power lines depends upon use of statistical data originating from their exploitation records. For fundamental recognition of reliability problems and large amounts of necessary data needed for successful maintenance, it is indispensable to have corresponding system of information. The purpose of the system is to generate data which will allow completion and follow-up of all maintenance work aimed at increased reliability and optimized operating costs
Translation - Serbo-Croat U cilju očuvanja dugog životnog veka komponenti nadzemnog voda, praćenje njihovog stanja treba da bude aktivnost od visokog prioriteta. Ovo se posebno odnosi na nadzemne vodove koji su pri kraju životnog veka, jer je to doba kada dolazi do izrazitog pogoršavanja osobina materijala od kojih su njegovi elementi sačinjeni. Zbog toga, povišenje nivoa efikasnosti eksploatacije nadzemnih vodova u direktnoj je zavisnosti od korišćenja statističkih podataka koji proizilaze iz istorijata njihovog rada. Za temeljno sagledavanja problematike pouzdanosti, zbog obilja potrebnih podataka u analizi, a za uspešno funkcionisanje sistema održavanja, nužno je raspolagati odgovarajućim informacionim sistemom održavanja. Njegova prevashodna namena je generisanje podataka koji omogućuju izvršenje i praćenje svih radova održavanja u svrhu povećanje pouzdanosti rada elemenata i optimizacije troškova održavanja

I am a bilingual English/Serbian teacher/translator currently completing teaching and other assignments in Vojvodina, Serbia. I am also a managing director of “American Studio”, an American English School in City of Novi Sad, Vojvodina.
