Source text - English Introduction:
As documented in many studies, the number of STIs is rising in western Europe, and local practices in terms of management (diagnostics, screening, protocols, kind of test performed) of STIs (e.g. Chlamydia) seem to be very different from one region to another.
One of the activities of the European project “BORDERNET”, where different countries from the Eastern borders of Europe are involved, aims to collect information on local practices in terms of diagnostics and management of STIs in all the involved regions, compare this information with existing recommendations (European and other guidelines), collect best practice and exchange experiences, and, after discussion with experts in all the regions, try to elaborate practical recommendations in order to standardise offers of diagnostics, screening and treatment according to the needs.
As a first step we would like to collect this information (situation analysis) through a kind of check list or easy to collect and analyse questionnaire. This document should be sent to the model regions which will collect the information among the institutions involved and /or collaborating with BORDERNET. It would be also useful to centralise the data collection and summarise it in a statistical way.
For the moment we have selected only 4 frequent STI (Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Syphilis and HPV) where there are probably the most important disparities in terms of management .
Translation - Polish Jak dowiodły liczne badania, liczba przypadków STI w zachodniej Europie rośnie, a lokalne praktyki w zakresie postępowania (diagnostyki, badań przesiewowych, protokołów, rodzaju stosowanych testów) wobec STI (np. chlamydia) wydają się znacznie różnić między regionami.
Jednym z działań europejskiego projektu "BORDERNET", w którym uczestniczą różne kraje ze wschodnich obszarów Europy, ma na celu zebranie informacji o lokalnych praktykach w zakresie diagnostyki i postępowania w związku z STI we wszystkich zaangażowanych regionach, porównanie tych informacji z istniejącymi zaleceniami (wytyczne europejskie i inne), zgromadzenie najlepszych praktyk i wymianę doświadczeń, a następnie – po dyskusji ze specjalistami wszystkich regionów – próbę opracowania praktycznych zaleceń mających na celu normalizację ofert diagnostyki, badań przesiewowych i leczenia wedle potrzeb.
Na początek chcielibyśmy zebrać informacje (analiza sytuacyjna) przy pomocy swego rodzaju listy kontrolnej, czy też łatwego w zastosowaniu i analizie kwestionariusza. Dokument ten powinien zostać przesłany do regionów modelowych, które zbiorą informacje w instytucjach zaangażowanych w BORDERNET lub z nim współpracujących. Byłoby także korzystne, gdyby zbieranie danych było scentralizowane, a dane zostały podsumowane statystycznie.
Na chwilę obecną wybraliśmy tylko 4 częste STI (chlamydia, rzeżączka, syfilis i HVP [wirus brodawczaka ludzkiego]), w odniesieniu do których występują prawdopodobnie największe różnice w zakresie postępowania w tych przypadkach.
