Bio

I was born and raised in France. As an adult, I lived overseas in various countries including Australia of which I became a citizen in 2006.

I have postgraduate diplomas in Social Sciences and Economics (major in Anthropology) and History of Africa (High Distinction) from FASS, ICP and University of Paris I, France). I also have a diploma in Photography (Maine Media College, USA).

I developed my language skills to a professional level while doing academic research on Kenya and studying at the University of Sydney (Anthropology department).

Previously, I worked in Publishing and as a social worker until I was contacted to translate articles and publications for an international organisation working on Development Economics in Africa. From then on I started working as a freelance translator.

I have continued working with international organisations as well as businesses translating articles, reports, academic studies and communication materials acquiring strong knowledge of contemporary economic, social and development issues as well as deep understanding of specific terminologies and clients' expectations. My goal is to deliver an accurate flowing translation and my work involves doing research, understanding cultural environments and using high language skills.

As I am also a visual artist, I have been delighted to work as well with the Film industry and the cultural sector and I have been lucky to meet many filmmakers and authors as an interpreter.
