The last 2 invoices I issued were monthlies, for my main direct (non-agency) client. Both bills included several small translation jobs received and returned by e-mail, as well as SW strings translated via the client's online platform.
July was busier than last year and August was not bad either.
My last invoice was issued yesterday to a repeat customer (though not a regular); it concerned a FR-PT translation of a press release (600 words). On the 1st September I issued 8 monthly invoices to my regular customers concerning all the jobs done during August ranging from a few hundred words to several thousands.

Strictly, it was three small jobs | Sep 4, 2020 |
I normally send monthly invoices, but this one was for a bunch of related jobs and went over the end of the month.
Small jobs suit me best, but it would be ridiculous to invoice them separately.
The latest job I have delivered was for 11 words, but I already have three jobs on this month's invoice for the same client.
Last month I invoiced that client for 14 jobs, varying from about 3000 words down to 350. There were other invoices with multiple jobs, all in the s... See more I normally send monthly invoices, but this one was for a bunch of related jobs and went over the end of the month.

Only one invoice in August, the other clients were closed.
This was for 2 very small jobs and 3 medium-sized.
The third week of August was particularly bad, only 7 lines of translation.
Still, considering that I am usually on holiday myself in August, this invoice was considerably larger than the one in August 2019.
Usually the end of the month is the time I write invoices for the agencies with fixed schedule and collected monthly invoices through cloud softwares mainly but not all (for other clients there is no schedule, maybe just after the job for a one time client or when i feel like it for recurring clients). Although I haven’t gotten (yes, gotten!) around to sending them yet, for the month of August I will invoice 7 clients for a total of €10,347: smallest invoice under €50 and largest more than €5,000, so it runs the gamut.
Very Large Project | Sep 4, 2020 |
As they almost always are, since I'm a literary translator.
It was for a 42-chapter book on the history of explorations and discoveries, quite a massive undertaking indeed!

I mostly do jobs around this size, sometimes much larger. I rarely get small assignments.

very good question | Oct 4, 2020 |
That's a very good question.
There are a lot of employee tracking applications on the market right now, and this is definitely a necessary thing that gives a little relaxation to the employers whose employees work remotely.
Here, for many, the question arises which application or software to choose WorkTime, I myself use it and there are no complaints.
