I've been a language professional all my working life except for my first ever job as a Saturday girl at the bakery down town.
I started out teaching English as a foreign language, then moved into creating content for computer-assisted language learning, then finally started translating just before giving birth to my daughter, who will be 27 in a couple of months.

I started as an EFL trainer not long after finishing my degree in modern languages in the 80s. After a couple of years teaching in Spain, I took the the RSA dip TEFLA course at Moray House in Edinburgh, then returned to Spain and worked in teaching again, mostly adults, for a few years before eventually getting into translation and proofreading/post-editing full-time, which I've been doing for the last twenty years or so.

20 years professionally + at least 6/7 as a part time job during my studies.
I have been working in translation field for over 13 years. I worked at construction companies as a translator and interpreter, and later translation companies doing translation, proofreading and post-editing. After I delivered my baby, I began working as a freelancer. I enjoy translation and I deliver high-quality works. Time flies when I am working on translation.
