I am not a Catholic myself, but I go to Mass with Catholics. Ever since I was a chiild, I have followed Christian worship in one language while it is conducted in another. The basic structure is the same, but the variations for each day or occcasion can be lost - and those are often essential!

I was raised Catholic, and I even attended a Catholic boarding school, but nowadays I’m not a practising Catholic. In any case, as far as I know since the Second Vatican Council masses are celebrated in a wide variety of national languages, although some Latin masses are still celebrated in the Vatican.

Hasn't it been translated to a lot more languages than that? And which Bible? Though I couldn't care less, sorry.

Speaking of religious services, I have finally located Henry. He is now living in Fayetteville, New York, USA. He is a Deacon in the (Russian) Orthodox Church of America. The diaconate is on the path to becoming a full-fledged priest. Apparently Proz.com was but a fillip in an adventure-filled life. He now has other fish to fry. Loaves and fishes. Ora pro nobis, Henry.

The Orthodox Church had no connection to the Vatican, especially after the Great Schism of 1054 AD, and never indulged in indulgences as was the practice of the Vatican-based Catholic Church.

I am a devoted Catholic, and I truly believe that God is present in the Mass. So, I am wondering about the religious nuances, the plain translation of the preachers, and the way that the feelings and message to the audience are conveyed.
As Joachim Lepine said, "AI does not care what is said; it just analyzes data." It does not care about our salvation at all. Religion is a sensible point for people, so conveying a meaningful and clear message is powerful and transformative. ... My conclusion is that it should be managed by professional interpreters and translators to make all this religious and spiritual effort worthwhile. ▲ Collapse

I think online community platforms like Proz itself typically use certain polls psychologically to increase activity.
This one is a good example.
