Una buena traducción se debe poder leer como si fuera un texto original. Es un principio básico e indiscutible. Cuando se trabaja con dos lenguas al unísono, es muy difícil apartarse de una para quedarse sumergido en la segunda, la de llegada, la que va a leer el consumidor de la traducción. Si esas lenguas son muy diferentes en su estructura formal y en la cultura de la sociedad en la que existen, la tarea se hace hercúlea.
