I think people can send you money through paypal just buy knowing your email address, and mine is posted on my profile. I looked up the name of the agency and found nothing that matches it exactly. Some similar names. I sent an email to the "sender email" and it bounced back. I'm confused. I keep good... See more I recently got a payment in my paypal account. Some similar names. I sent an email to the "sender email" and it bounced back. I'm confused. I keep good track of the work I do and with whom. I looked in my records and can't find any trace of contact with anyone of that name. I was not expecting a payment. Could this be a scam? Have you contacted Paypal yet? They should be able to return the funds (assuming that is what you want to do ;] ). Hi Elizabeth, If I were you, I would have notified Paypal. They are usually very good at checking things. Have you checked amounts due in other currencies (if any)? 41 USD can appear in your records as XX GBP or XXX RUB (whichever the client uses for payment). Next time it would make sense to ask your clients use reference numbers for payment via PayPal. The whole matter does not look like a big deal anyway. Paypal will handle it. | | | Just a thought | Nov 5, 2014 |
Did you expect this or similar amount from any of your customers or other legitimate sources (an eBay sale, an online store refund, friends or colleagues you collaborated with, etc.)? On rare occasions PayPal name may differ from one's current business name, f.eg. somebody you know as John Doe may have his name displayed as John and Mary Shop on his PayPal account, or vice versa... | | | James McVay Statele Unite Local time: 01:36 din rusă în engleză + ...
When I receive a payment via PayPal, I always receive an email notification with the payer's address as the sender? Did you receive such an email?
