I created this list for the followers of my language learning social media sites because Amazon has become so filled up with small ebooks, notebooks, coloring books and auto-generated dictionaries, that's it had become harder and harder to find new products and know which products are actually worth buying.

This list is frequently updated with new books appearing at the top. Each image is a link to a different category. Spanish, for example, contains over 250 entries:

So, just to explain what we're all looking at here: this is an Amazon product list from the user "Language Crawler". When you buy a book from this list, the user Language Crawler earns a commission. Nothing wrong with that, of course -- the user had taken time to create the list, after all. If the user Language Crawler is Jeff, then we can be reasonably certain that the selection is likely a good selection.

One thing that took me a while to realize is that the "books" in the list are not books at all, but categories (that each use a single book as a thumbnail image).

books

As far as I can tell, Amazon refers to these categories as "posts". There are 59 posts and the total number of books in this list is 3600. From what I can tell, "posts" can be updated with new information i.e. new books.

Thank you but I’m not interested. I had a look and all the items in the Portuguese list are in Brazilian Portuguese not in European Portuguese…

Through Look inside, this list could actually be useful May 4, 2023

Some books have a Look inside function. That's not so bad.

Thanks May 5, 2023

Looks rather interesting. I'll have to browse more thoroughly the categories I'm interested in, but at first glance it looks good. Thanks for compiling this, I've boomarked the page.

You are correct, but... May 5, 2023

Unfortunately, there is a lack of resources available in the United States for learning European Portuguese (and of course, this list is limited to those items available on Amazon). The only recommended book I could find is https://amzn.to/3nwUtFU

Perhaps you have some other suggestions? I would especially like to find a book about slang and idioms that are unique to Portuguese as spoken in Portugal

Perhaps you have some other suggestions? I would especially like to find a book about slang and idioms that are unique to Portuguese as spoken in Portugal as well as materials that help you bridge from one variety to another (grammatical differences, vocabulary, verb usage, etc.).

There’s also a very interesting and complete study about the lexical differences between European Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese:
