OK, that's probably some kind of marathon. But why 10K? What does this stand for?

: 10 kilometers..and it does NOT refere to the distance of a marathon. It's a standard foot racing distance ( 5K, 10K, and the marathon).

: The correct form in English would be "10 kilometer run"; in a noun adjunct, the noun functioning as an adjective is always expressed in the singular form. Other than that, this answer is correct.
