Boys Apr 10

Boys, stop it, you’ll stress out and traumatize the AI mod!

I tried to insult Siri using very bad language, and he just said: “I won’t respond to that”. Who’d tell, we can learn something even from AI.

I'll come to Germany! Apr 10

Gerard Barry wrote:

You know what Barry? I'm gonna hop on a plane to Germany, and once landed, I'll tear up my passport and the labels on my clothes and seek asylum at the airport on the grounds that I lost my job as a translator to the AI, and Germany, being one of the white capitalist, privileged western nations that actively helped develop AI to put me and my family in the streets, is directly responsible for my and my eight (8) children's welfare from now on out.
I expect the German government will put us up in a 3 star hotel for the time being till they find a 3 floor house with 11 rooms, ideally somewhere close to downtown Berlin (unfortunately, to do this, they'll have to evict 3 or 4 German families to accommodate us, and thus exacerbate the 'housing crisis' over there, but my conscious is totally clear! Because this is all on you! You hear Barry? The fault entirely lies in you and Ireland. If you hadn't been such a dickhead on these forums, none of those would've happened! I'd be happily starve in Turkey and those German families would still have a roof over their heads!) and will pay us a weekly stipend of 5 or 6 thousand EUR, which is not much, but better than nothing I guess...
So I'll come over there with my 3 wives and 8 children, and avail myself of all that good shit that German state has to offer! Me and my niggaz will roll in style in Berlin while you slave away in your pathetic menial job and pay your taxes to payroll my lifestyle! How do you like that Barry?
And when you make good on your threat and put the cops on me, I'm gonna use that PC/Wokeness card up to the hilt, and say to the German coppers 'It's coz I is black innit?', and with those magic words the coppers will leave us be (as who in their right mind would wanna fuck with that can of worms?), or failing that some DEI officer will come and bail our black arses out! Either way, I'll go scot free. But don't you worry mate, you'll always have this forum to vent your frustration! Now that the mods are gone, just have at it!

The Daily Mail has it all mapped out for you. What are you waiting for?Collapse

'one of those £10,000 luxury cross-Channel dinghy cruises to Dover'

What?? Is that the going rate? It looks like the organisers of these ‘adventure cruises’ are far better at protecting their livelihood than translators ...

BTW, how dare you deviating from the 'approved terminology' - there is no 'invasion' whatsoever going on. If the Dear Leader Free Gear Keir Stürmer said so, it must be true...

I've always known logistics was where the real money was at. With the subventions and facilities provided by the Western governments there is a killing to be made! It's time that those poor sods were transported to the promised land in style!

humans will be necessary Apr 30

With the improvement of artificial intelligence, its true that translation work has decrease to a great extent, however, the need for human translation will never end. AI is not perfect!

But the point is what will our task be? Just post-editing translations produced by AI? That's not interesting work!

One would say translation, human or otherwise, has never been interesting.
How's your new job treating you? Are you enjoying the labour day?
