Guangzhou Canton Fair & business escort interpreters

Guangzhou Guanri Translation Services Co., Ltd. (广州市贯日翻译服务有限公司), established in 2003, is recruiting freelance interpreters for our Guangzhou on-site project roster. This is a call for CVs and availability for upcoming assignments; registration is not a guaranteed assignment.

We particularly need Chinese bidirectional interpreting with Arabic, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Russian, Burmese and Hindi. English, Japanese, Korean and German interpreters are also welcome.

Typical assignments: Canton Fair booth reception and buyer discussions (prices, lead times and minimum order quantities), business escort interpreting in Guangzhou, factory visits in Foshan/Dongguan, and occasional consecutive meetings. Canton Fair availability windows: 15–19 October, 23–27 October, and 31 October–4 November 2026; availability for part of a phase is welcome. Each assignment’s exact location, hours and scope are confirmed before acceptance.

Requirements: fluent live bidirectional interpreting. Trade fair or business escort experience is preferred. Qualified students and independent freelancers are welcome.

Fair badges are coordinated with the client two days in advance; entry costs are borne by the client.

Clarification: these are freelance, project-based assignments requiring on-site attendance, rather than a permanent in-house employment role. We are building an ongoing interpreter roster; registration does not guarantee an assignment.

Applicants should currently be based in China. Guangzhou and the Pearl River Delta are preferred; interpreters in other cities in China are welcome if they can attend the agreed assignment location. All languages are welcome, with current priority for Arabic, Russian, French, Spanish, Portuguese and German. Fluent live interpreting in both directions with Chinese is required.

Indicative fees are CNY 400–1200 per day. Please state your own rate, current city, language pairs, interpreting experience and available dates. Scope, hours, location, travel arrangements and settlement are confirmed before each assignment.
