Description The Faculty of Letters carries forward the tradition of humanistic studies presented in Ia�i long before the University's Foundation.
Some of the lasting landmarks of Ia�i philological studies are for ever to be associated with such well-known personalities as Titu Maiorescu, Alexandru Philippide, Garabet Ibr�ileanu, Ovid Densu�ianu, Traian Bratu, Theofil Simensky, George C�linescu, Iorgu Iordan, Al. Dima, Gh. Iv�nescu. A number of specialized seminars of future specialists in the field of foreign and classical language, in folklore studies or in the newest trends of philological research.
